One Greenway Section Remains Closed
One section of our greenway has re-opened, however, a bridge damaged by Hurricane Matthew still remains out near Marks Creek near Riverwood. A replacement is set to be finished by the end of 2017. Having greenways along the Neuse river make for scenic trails, but the proximity to water brings challenges. Hurricane Matthew's flood waters took out a bridge and delayed repairs at a utility station along the river. Check the map for how you can still enjoy the Sam's Branch and Clayton River Walk on the Neuse greenways.
