Arbors Apartments and Front StreetThere's always a new home to hook-up or improvements to make to the electric system.  Clayton Public Power is always working!

Tree Trimming Project

Our primary goal at Clayton Public Power is to provide you with safe, reliable, affordable power. Limbs and branches that overhang and either touch or fall on power lines are a major cause of widespread power outages during and after wind, rain or ice storms. That’s why the Town of Clayton uses an aggressive tree-trimming program to help cut down on those outages. Our program is on a 3-year cycle which effectively means 1/3 of the Town’s trees are trimmed each year. Click here to see when your area will be trimmed.  Click here to learn more about our tree-trimming program

Arbors Apartments and Front Street

This was a 6-month project that included the installation of underground facilities for a 192 unit apartment complex,  the installation of 58 area lights, and energizing a major lift station for the Town of Clayton.

Glen Laurel Cable Replacement

For the purposes of improving and providing reliable service, the Electric Department replaced 7,500 feet of cable in the Glen Laurel Subdivision.

Walden Cable Replacement

For the purposes of improving and providing reliable service to the residents of Walden Woods, the Electric Department replaced 2,500 feet of deteriorated cable.

Fuse Coordination Project

Completion of this project has allowed us to limit the number of customers affected by power outages.

If you have questions about any of the above projects, then give us a call, we’ll be glad to answer your questions!
