The Hunt is On for a New Police Chief - Help Us Make the Hire!

Hiring a police chief is one of the most important decisions any Town will make – a decision that’s critical to the future of a community. That’s why the Town of Clayton is asked the public to participate in the hiring of a new leader to replace Police Chief R.W. Bridges, who will retire at the end of April after nearly 20 years of service at the Clayton Police Department.

We had great feedback during our public forum from residents, business owners, church leaders and community organizations.  Right now we're processing applications as they come in.

The men and women of the Clayton Police Department are proud to serve the citizens of the Town of Clayton. We respond to your emergencies, teach crime prevention to groups visiting our Law Enforcement Center and patrol the Town’s greenways—it’s all just a part of our job. You may see us responding to accidents or read about our K-9 Unit sniffing out crime. The point is, we’re here taking care of Clayton.
