Welcome the Town of Clayton, North Carolina

Now there's a free, convenient way to access police accident reports.

Whether you’re a driver wanting a copy of your accident report, an attorney or insurance agent searching for details of an accdient on a report, or a reporter looking for information on a recent crash– you’ll find it all just one click away. You can view and print out copies of reports right from your own computer. Reports are usually available by 2:00 PM the next business day and will remain online for 2 weeks.

Click Here for Online Police Reports

The files are stored in a free online Cloud storage system called box.com.  Click on the link above to see dated folders that contain accident reports from that time period.  Click on the reports individually or simply open the first report and you can scroll through all using the "Next File" tab at the top right or the picture icons on the right hand column.

If you need access to accident reports older than 2 weeks or if you need arrest or incident reports, you must come in person to the Clayton Police Department Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We're located at 315 East Second Street in Clayton, North Carolina. It's important you know the date, time or report number if possible.

If you’d like more information or have questions about police reports, please contact the Clayton Police Department at 919-553-4611.
