Front Street Near Historic City Cemetery CLOSED

02/01/2017

Utility Work Alert! A small section of Front Street will be closed tomorrow and Friday between Roberston and Stalling streets near our historic City Cemetery for water main work. The closures will run from 8 am to 5 pm both Thursday and Friday, February 2-3.

We apologize for the short detour around this work. Stallings Street should be open to all traffic.

If all goes well, there should not be any outages or boil water advisories, but we are working with very old utility lines in that area and we'll keep residents updated should water need to be cut off.

Our crews are installing a replacement water main and services to homes on Front St. We will install the new line and test it before moving customers off of the old line. Again, we're hopeful all will go well and no one will see an interruption in service.

Thank you for you patience as we make these improvements!  Don't forget to sign up for our Code Red alerts so you can be informed about utility work, street closures and other Town of Clayton emergency info!
