National TV Program to Feature Clayton
Town officials are working with a Florida production company to produce a short promotional film that will air on national television.
Terry Bradshaw, a super bowl-winning football star and Fox Sports broadcaster, will speak for the town in the film which will appear as a short segment in a cable television program called "Hidden Gems." The show features small American towns "where living is like it was back in the day."
"Anytime you can associate yourself with someone who is so well known and well regarded, it lends a degree of credibility and a degree of recognition," said Town Manager Steve Biggs.
The show will air several times locally and regionally--and one time nationally--on CNN Headline News and the Fox Business Network.
"I think it could be a good marketing tool," said Mayor Jody McLeod. "It could be very good for Clayton."
Town officials said they will use the film to help with economic development efforts once its television run ends.
The production company, Today in America TV, has already put together similar promotional films for towns across the country.
