• Administrative Division
• Patrol Division
• Special Operations Division

Each division plays a crucial role in fulfilling our mission of serving and protecting the residents, businesses, and visitors of Clayton. The Clayton Police Department operates with a team of 64 full-time sworn police officers and five civilian employees overseen by the Chief of Police. Reporting directly to the Chief of Police are three Captains who are commanders of their respective divisions. 

Our commitment to public safety is unwavering, with police protection available round-the-clock, 365 days a year. This essential service is facilitated through the support of the Johnston County 911 Communications Center.
