For Teens

Teen Night

Teens, this one’s for you! Every month we host Teen Night on the third Tuesday—a chance to hang out with friends, meet new people, and try something different. Activities change each month and can include anything from crafts to escape-room style challenges, game nights, or even coding with robots. Because space is limited, Teen Night is registration only. Check out our events page to see what’s happening this month and to register:

Find What You Need

The library has a growing teen collection with books, graphic novels, and manga, plus access to e-materials like eBooks and e-audiobooks you can read or listen to on the go. Teens also have access to study tables and free Wi-Fi, making the library a great place to focus on homework, group projects, or just a quiet spot to read. With a grown-up’s library card, teens can also borrow from our Library of Things, which includes photography and recording equipment, headphones, outdoor games, boomboxes, and more.

For digital reading, the Libby App provides access to both the Clayton and e-inc digital libraries, where you’ll find young adult and adult materials for older teens. For teens who aren’t quite ready for that content, the NC Kids Digital Library offers NC Kids: Level Up, a specially curated collection designed for 4th–8th graders. It’s a safe option for readers who are in-between.
