This page provides information on upcoming Public HearingsPH, Public MeetingsPM, and Evidentiary Public HearingsEH for development projects within the Town of Clayton's Planning Jurisdiction. The Town's Unified Development Ordinance requires one of these meeting types for the following actions:
AnnexationsPH: inclusion of land into Clayton's Corporate Limits.
Conditional RezoningsPM & PH: a rezoning of property per Conditions of Approval with or without an associated Concept Plan.
Conventional RezoningsPM & PH: a rezoning of property to a zoning district without Conditions of Approval and without a Concept Plan.
Special Use PermitsEH: a use of property established through the evidence of compliance to the Town's standards.
Street ClosuresPH: the closing of a Town right-of-way and relinquishing of Town ownership and maintenance (may also apply to NCDOT).
Unified Development Ordinance Text AmendmentsPM & PH: changes to the Unified Development Ordinance, which governs land development in Clayton's planning area.
VariancesEH: a request to deviate from certain standards of the Unified Development Ordinance that are not a self-imposed hardship.
